Shan Cha, or “Mountain Tea,” is a wild Taiwanese tea once enjoyed by early settlers and referred to by some Indigenous groups as “Tea of the Gods.” Growing at 800–1800 meters in central Taiwan, these seed-propagated trees live untended in rich, biodiverse forests and can grow over ten meters tall.
This tea, crafted by ecological pioneer Mr. Wang (王證程) and processed like a red tea, is uplifting yet dark and bold, with notes of wild honey, a touch of wintergreen, and a vibrant, lively Qi. It’s a beautiful morning tea—deeply energizsing and connecting you directly to the wildness it comes from.
